The Elarra Solstice is the working title of my current writing project that I’ve been working on for years. On the distant ringed world of Arda, Thoran Ralláhn refuses to take the scepter when the Allorynn High King is murdered. Leading his people to the lands they left behind millennia ago, Thoran seeks to end the wars, establish friendships, and find the one who has haunted his dreams for most of his life: a mysterious woman with dark hair and crystal blue eyes.

Inspired by such literature as J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion, Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time, themes from various science fiction stories, and a desire to write an epic, inspiring, and adventurous story, the story of The Elarra Solstice began to take shape back in high school. The journey has taken me through college writing courses, author workshops, writing books, and things learned by experience and imagination. The story has taken grander and greater and deeper shape as my reasons for writing have evolved from a desire to simply tell a story to a need to write a myth that excites, inspires, and enlightens. The story of Thoran and his people needs to be told, and I look forward to readers joining the journey I’ve enjoyed, and the laughs, tears, suspense, courage, and sacrifice that they’ll find along the way.

I’ve completed drafts of the first three of a planned five book cycle, and am currently in the late stages of revising Book 1, tentatively titled Echoes of Elarra, for submission and publication.
